5 tips to stay cool while training outdoors

Lets stay cool during the hot days and if your exercising  outdoors, then here are some top tips to stay cool and to be at your best. Lets get into this blog and see which will benefit you the most and keep your body safe while getting your daily dose of physical activity in the heat of a summers day. 

TIP 1) Eat a Lighter Meal 

If you eat too much your body temp will rise a lot more than if you have a light meal. Straight after eating, the body will produce more warmth to the body. If you do eat a big meal then make sure you give your 2-3 hours before exercising in any heat. Your body w2ill thank you later as it will have time to cool down.

TIP 2) Exercise During the Coolest Part of the Day 

That's right don't train in the middle of the day, don't be crazy unless you want heat exhaustion and a bad sun burn. During the summer months outdoors your best to train in the morning or as the sun has gone down, training during dusk till dawn is a no no. So go for the early and start a new regime.

TIP 3) Wearing Light-Colored and Lightweight Clothing 

Your body is a great regulator of the body temp, but with some added protection through clothes you can control how much heat will be produced. opt for light weight and light coloured clothing if your not one for this then look to getting clothes with dry-fit material. If you do this your going to be able to ensure your body can breathe more efficiently. 

TIP 4) Drink Plenty of Water Before, During, and After Your Workout

Take note athletes your break is more important than the exercise sometimes, athletes will gets the body regulated again but many athletes neglect taking on water when taking a break. Lots of exercise goers drink before and after but many will neglect drinking in-between exercise. Keep your body hydrated through exercise and look to consume 500ml minimum during a 1 hour session.

TIP 5) Go for More Heat-Friendly Exercises

Be aware running and hiking are some of the toughest exercises you could do in the summer heat. Getting in for a swim where it is safe to do so, swimming is one of the best exercises you could do in this time of year because it keeps your body cool and burns calories like crazy! and lets not forget  and if more fresh is what your after then lets not forget the Yoga as a great exercise to do.
